Try Hockey for Free Day!!

On Saturday, February 21st, USA Hockey and nearly 300 local associations across the country will host Try Hockey For Free Day, presented by Kraft! Tri-Town Ice Arena will once again be a participating location. Our Try Hockey for Free Day will start at 10am. This event encourages kids, ages 4 to 9, to come try youth hockey for free, who have NEVER played before or even skated.  This day will be part of the eighth annual Hockey Weekend Across America, presented by CCM.

The last Try Hockey for Free Day we hosted was in November, and we had about 30 kids attend, who got to practice some skating, stickhandling, and shooting.  At the end of the practice the kids got to play a cross ice scrimmage and a classic game of “Sharks and Minnows.”  

We will have limited equipment available for use, so if you have equipment of your own please bring it.  Every kid will need a helmet and skates to get on the ice.  Please go to www.tryhockeyforfree.com to pre-register your child. Once you are on the website you will need to enter our zip code, 03106, and then click on Tri-Town Ice Arena to enter your child’s information.
